Port Rowing is celebrating its 15 Years! 

Port Rowing first launched from the beach at the Village Club onto Hempstead Harbor. Now, our boathouse stands proudly at North Hempstead Beach Park and is home to a crew of 190+ strong!

Join us on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 7:00pm at the Sands Point Preserve to celebrate the Gala in the Greek Isles to honor Port Rowing and our inaugural Hall of Fame Class! 

2025 Hall of Fame Inductees:

• Lindsey Rust: A standout athlete who went on to row for Stanford Crew, Lindsey set world records on the erg for lightweight women (17-18), competed in the Junior World Championships, and was our National CRASH-B Champion for the 2K.

• Olivia Fogarty:  A Coxswain for Port Rowing, she went on to compete for The University of Texas where she was a 2-time team National Champion and 1 time boat National Champion.

• Robin McDermott: A dedicated leader who helped establish our Parent Advisory Committee (PAC), ensuring our rowers and families are supported at every regatta with food, care, and camaraderie.

• Bridgette Hirsch: A founding board member and a driving force behind the early development and growth of Port Rowing, helped to lay the foundation for the program’s success.
