About Youth Rowing

High School

The High School competitive teams have 3 distinct seasons on the water: Spring, Summer, and Fall. The Winter season is designed for indoor training and conditioning.

Our Boy's and Girl's High School Teams are for experienced or novice (new to the sport) rowers in 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades. Anyone may join as a novice in the Fall Season. Spring Season novices will considered on a case by case basis (please contact the appropriate squad Head Coach).

Both the Experienced and Novice rowers travel to regattas on the east coast and the elite boats may be chosen to race at the world famous Head of the Charles. Trip fees apply for several away trips.

Middle School

The Middle School team is a coed team for all 7th and 8th graders. This developmental program is the building block to the high school level and there is an emphasis on building a strong foundation in proper technique.

The goal of the program is to build technique, to promote sportsmanship, introduce proper equipment handling and water safety, and improve general fitness.

Once a safe and firm foundation is established, Middle School rowers will have opportunities to compete at home and away.
