High School Fall & Spring Seasons

5 days/week

Fall Season is about longer races, called Head Races, and rowers train for endurance. The pre-season begins just before Labor Day. Select rowers may be chosen to compete at local scrimmages throughout the season.
 
Squads will be formed based on skill, experience, and commitment.

Trip Fees
Additional fees apply for team travel. Registration for each event will be required.

Practice Schedule
The fall season will begin BEFORE Labor Day with an adjusted schedule. After Labor Day, regular season practices will continue Mondays - Fridays and Saturday mornings  


Holidays/Days Off
We follow the Port Washington Public school calendar. If the students have no school, there will be no rowing practice. Optional practices may be offered. See your Team seasonal calendar for details.

Rowers with experience and at coaches' discretion may travel for an intense week of training.

For winter we take it indoors. Our strengthening and conditioning is divided into 2 sessions. Rowers can choose session 1 or 2, or choose both at a discounted rate.
 
We train at our winter home at the Village Club and conditioning sessions are led by our coaches who have developed rowing specific protocols so rowers can gain power for the upcoming spring season.
